What we collect and why
- Contact form. When you send us a message we collect your name, company, email address, and the content of your message. We use this to respond to your inquiry. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in answering business inquiries (art. 6(1)(f)). Messages are delivered to our inbox through Resend (Resend Inc., United States) and are kept for as long as needed to handle the inquiry and any follow-up, then deleted within 24 months of the last exchange.
- Meeting booking. The booking calendar on our contact page is provided by Calendly LLC (United States). When you book a slot, Calendly collects the details you enter and shares them with us so we can hold the meeting. Calendly’s own privacy notice applies to that processing.
- Audience measurement. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the site is used. It records page views and aggregated, anonymised technical data (country, device type, referrer). It does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors. Legal basis: legitimate interest in improving our website (art. 6(1)(f)).
- Server logs. Our hosting provider, Vercel Inc. (United States), processes IP addresses and request metadata to deliver the site securely and detect abuse. Logs are retained for a short period as described in Vercel’s privacy policy.
Cookies
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The embedded Calendly calendar may set cookies that are strictly necessary for the booking widget to function.
International transfers
Some of the providers listed above are located in the United States. Transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and receive a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise these rights, email hello@lastengineers.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
